We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
In a world where we are taught to be selfish, it is very hard to put this verse into practice. Even when we do help out others, there is normally a benefit for us. Christ gave us a perfect example of how we should care for our neighbor. Next time we have the opportunity to serve our neighbor, let us do so in a Christ-like manner.

Dear Lord, thank you for setting an example for us. Help us to imitate that example and be selfless and focused on the needs of others. Walk with us today and guide our steps. We love you, and we praise you. AMEN.
